Young,  Capable,  Creative and Curious with an International and Open mind:

ycccios.

… can we afford to miss out on them ?        Nope.

Every society, every social and financial background and every colour and creed has its fair percentage of kids who have a truly global mind. Curious and creative young people with the longing to see the world, to understand other people, experience other cultures, speak more than one language.
Some of these of course, like the kids of high-ranking expat executives or children of diplomatic staff, stand in the front row to combine their wishes with their opportunities. Others find it a little more difficult and for the majority this is almost impossible.
There are always some who succeed against all odds; however, a great percentage of potential global citizens is lost to too much friction and resistance. Yet it is very often not down to their parents’ lack of perspective that they resign at some point; many kids come from families who simply cannot afford to give their young ones the chances they long for. All too often they do not even get to find out about the chances they might have had.

The Parental Pals’ thesis:
the world needs these kids and cannot afford to miss out on them. Why ? Because these girls and boys have what it takes to make tomorrow’s world a place worth living in: they have an enterprising spirit, a broad horizon, ample curiosity, no fear to touch the unfamiliar and lots and lots of energy.

They have guts and creativity! They are not driven by greed or lust for power, if anything: lust for life and the longing to share it is the power behind their ambitions.

There is a – relatively speaking – simple way to overcome the hurdles that stop young would-be-global-citizens  from going places, hurdles like their parents’ budget or fear for their kids’ safety, the family’s concerns and maybe even peer pressure holding them back: Teamwork between parents makes global opportunities accessible.

It is our job to enable and encourage parents, to give them a hand letting their kids participate in global life. It is our passion to bring together these who can and those who could, these who will and those who would. It is our mission to provide the ropes for youthful adventure with parental saftey-nets!

We will take the “if only” away and make it possible. Because these hopeful ycccios should have their talents uncovered and put to good use. Join Parental Pals and let your own ycccios into the arena of life.

Or did you get all your chances when you were a kid ?
